Problem: When I try to uninstall Radialpoint Security Services, the following error message pops up: "Radialpoint Security Services failed to shutdown. Radialpoint Security Services must be shutdown to continue. What should I do?

Cause: In rare occasions, if Radialpoint Security Services is not active and the activation window is still opened, Radialpoint Security Services fails to uninstall.

Resolution:

Windows XP:

  1. When the error message appears, click on Cancel.
  2. On the next notification, click Yes.
  3. Close Radialpoint Security Services activation window.
  4. Click Start, then Control Panel.
  5. Click Add/Remove Programs.
  6. Select Radialpoint Security Services from the list.
  7. Click Change/Uninstall.

Windows Vista:

  1. When the error message appears, click on Cancel.
  2. On the next notification, click Yes.
  3. Close Radialpoint Security Services activation window.
  4. Click Start, then Control Panel.
  5. Click Programs and Features.
  6. Select Radialpoint Security Services from the list.
  7. Click Uninstall.
