Question: How do I setup the Secure Erase service?

Answer: To enable the Secure Erase service:

  1. Open Radialpoint Titanium Managed Security.
  2. Click on the Secure Erase service button.
  3. Enable the checkbox next to Enable Secure Erase.
  4. Choose from the Quick Erase and Permanent Erase options.
  5. Click the Back button.

To use this feature, right-click on any file and select Delete with Secure Erase.

Secure Erase offers 2 different ways to permanently erase files:

  • Quick Erase
  • Permanent Erase

Moving a file into the Recycle Bin does not immediately delete all the data it contains. The Quick Erase option overwrites a deleted file to prevent from being recovered later.

The Permanent Erase option gives you extra peace of mind by overwritting the deleted files seven times. This option usually takes longer, but offers the most secure way to remove data from your computer.
